Maya 2012 2012: Fact or Fiction It might be time to go and get your cardboard sign suggesting that the end is near. Just like many other points in history, several predictions have coincided to point to a specific date, well at least a specific year, to bring about the end of our world as we know it. No other date than December 21, 2012 has received as much hype about being the end of the world, Y2K included. With this assured Armageddon, it has sent some people in search of answers to one question: 2012 Doomsday Fact or Fiction? Perhaps the most popular foundation for the 2012 doomsday scenario comes from the Mayan culture. Some have sworn by the calendar their ancient civilization created has predicted other events with precise accuracy. Some even say the Mayans predicted the tragedy on 9/11 through their intricate calendar. This same calendar mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012 with no explanation. Some say it is the calendar simply starting over at 1, while others feel as though they ended it to symbolize the end of the world. In roughly 2900 B. C., the I Ching or Book of Change was also credited with an eerie calculation to December of 2012. This came in the form of a graph created using patterns from the I Ching; Terrance McKenna created the graph itself. This graph's peaks have so far corresponded to various changes in the world; it too mysteriously stops in 2012. Yet another source convincing people of impending doom in 2012 is the Web Bot. This software is designed to calculate through discussions and general behavioral trends potential changes in the world. The software was actually developed to assist in predicting the fluctuation of the stock market. Its notoriety began when it predicted to a fair degree of accuracy the events of 9/11. Now, it predicts a worldwide calamity in 2012. Lastly, the planets are slated to line up with one up with one another in a line. This in theory could create a black hole in the middle of the Milky Way with unpredictable results. Some suggest that this alignment, which coincides with the last day of the Mayan calendar, is a major factor in the end of days. Its hard to say if this is all coincidence, or what it is. There have been plenty of false predictions of the last day of Earth, and this could just be another to tack up there. Frankly, for every piece of evidence to support the end of days, there is an equal argument to the contrary. Knowledgeable people on the subject suggest the Mayan calendar to simply be recycling, and while the Web Bot might have 'predicted' 9/11, it has 'predicted' a lot of other things that never happened. For every doomsday theory, especially those surrounding 2012, there is an equal argument on either side of the coin. The truth is you need to decide if you believe it to be true or not, and if you do, you should prepare yourself how best you see fit. maya 2012 mayans 2012 mayans 2012 Looking to find out all you can Click Here!maya 2012: mayan 2012 This article, the best article ever, kindly provided by UberArticles.com | | 12:45 pm |
Maya 2012 The 2012 Theory Predicts That we Will Die - Is That True? What is the 2012 theory all about and what do we have to know? Basically, a theory always remains a theory unlike an event plays out in life as a practical and valid experience. The 2012 theory and the predictions make no difference. It is crucial to mention that many different groups and people discuss the theories about the 2012 event in a controversial and mostly fearful manner. Also different approaches and preparations to the 2012 theory are applied. The most common basic view on the 2012 theory is the Mayan calendar, which is an extremely precise cosmological measurement of cycles and events. Many have been written about the background of the Mayan culture, and also the controversial interpretation of 2012 theory event. Most New age groups have with the Maya culture and the 2012 theory in common, that they see this event as a galactic event, which brings in a shift of energy. The shift is a continuously rising vibration level of all life, which brings in several consequences for life itself and the human beings. It is crucial to mention that this energy shift will create a situation for everybody, to take a closer look at his life and the spiritual approach to life in general. This is not only a philosophical view, rather a view on personal growth and about the truth of life in general. The 2012 theory holds many predictions that we will die due to a cosmic catastrophe, tsunami, pole shift and other extraordinary events hitting the planet on December 12, 2012. From the scientific point there is nothing to fear, but the bible for example supports the 2012 theory in the 'the end of time' statements. So what can we say is wrong or right about the 2012 theory? Here are the 3 important facts about the 2012 theory: 1. 2012 is not a "prophecy" it is a prediction. The Maya were cosmologists who created extremely advanced calendars by the scientific observation of the great cycles of the Universe relative to planet Earth. 2. It is clear that consciousness and indeed life itself evolves in cycles - there is increasing evidence in the fossil record to support the fact that life evolves in cycles. 3. Whatever happens is therefore all a part of the grand scheme of things and part of the great cycles of the Universe necessary for the evolution of life and consciousness. Finally, to put the 2012 theory into perspective, we must also always keep in consideration one fundamental and the most important truth that we all create our own reality with the power of our Minds. That means, whatever we believe will happen in our thoughts, imagination and emotions will happen, every time. Therefore it is very important to maintain absolute control over our thought processes and emotional expectations, not only because of the approaching end of the age, and the 2012 theory, but also in creating our day to day reality. We choose by ourselves to live a life in health, happiness and abundance. We can conclude that whatever happens in 2012 is a result of our mass conscious approach and mind set toward the 2012 theory. So you better keep in mind - think positive, and create your life in happiness and joy. maya 2012 mayans 2012 mayans 2012 Do you agree that we are responsible of what our future will bring us?? Maya 2012 Ancient Mayan Civilization: Will We Die In 2012? Over the last few years, there has been an increasing amount of concern about the Mayan calendar and will we die in 2012? There are people who think that the world is actually going to come to an end at that time, though there are just as many people who can point out that every other apocalyptic scenario over the millennia has never proven out. As to the specific nature of the calendar itself and whether or not it really does run out and what it can portend for all of us, many experts have taken the time to study it and most will say that the calendar itself actually doesn't run out. They make no guarantees, though, about these apocalyptic or end-time scenarios because they are not a matter for logic but are, rather, a matter for emotion. Collectively, the phenomenon known as "2012" can be given to a variety of proposals and beliefs that try to argue for some sort of transformative, cataclysmic or even apocalyptic event that will take place in that year, specifically on either December 21 or December 23, 2012. These are the two dates in which the calendar is supposed to come to some sort of an end in a technical sense. These dates were determined from the studies of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, which is what this calendar is more formally known as. Many of these studies purport to show that the calendar began on a certain date and ends on a certain date, 5125 years from the beginning. However, the arguments for apocalypse tend to revolve around an accurate archeo-astronomy and mythological tales. Also, those people who say that the calendar purports to show some sort of transformative or apocalyptic event occurring on either of those days in December of 2012 rely on highly unprovable numerological calculations and even ancient prophecies supposedly made by extraterrestrials. None of these claims are non-falsifiable; which means that none can be disproven through logic and science because they are so illogical. For the most part, any real scholar of Mayan history, culture and society can make a very logical and convincing argument that there is no real "end" to the calendar which supposedly occurs in the year 2012. Additionally, modern Mayans are almost uniform in considering the year 2012 to be a fairly irrelevant occurrence within the context of the calendar. Lastly, much of Mayan history is obscure. It is maintained by supporters of the 2012 apocalypse or transformation that a number of events will occur. These events, like many other events by many other apocalyptic movements involve things like black holes, collisions with rogue planets or the shifting of our poles. Most such predictions are based on pseudoscience and just about every prediction violates bedrock laws of physics. Some of this concern over the year 2012 is based on a certain natural tendency by humans to fear for their existence as a species and can trace its roots back to other apocalyptic movements throughout the millennia. Not a single one has ever proven out, though the believers in such a movement tend to find an excuse for why we were not all destroyed at that particular time. This is sure to occur yet again in the future. maya 2012 mayan 2012 mayan 2012 The Mayan calendar claims that the earth will end in 2012. Maya 2012 Where To Live If The 2012 Prophecies Are True? Completely Within Yourself And In Harmony W Everywhere you turn, it seems like there is talk of the 2012 prophecies signaling the end of the world. With just three years to go until the Mayan calendar ends, you may ask, where to live if the 2012 prophecies are true? Can any one place be better than others? One must first realize that the prophecies do not point to the literal end of the world. It is actually about transition, thus signaling not just an end but also a beginning. What is supposed to be transitioning in this period is not the world itself but, rather, our consciousness. The time leading up to 2012 is meant for us to change the path our race has been on, one of self-destruction, to one that is based on harmony with the universe and all its creatures. It is only if we are unable to make this transition that the new world will come with catastrophe and destruction. Only through development of our spirits will we be able to switch from a fear-based culture to one that is peaceful. Where we are in that spiritual development in 2012 will determine whether our race is doomed to disappear or if, instead, we will enter a stage in development never before realized. Basically, in 2012, we the fifth Mayan world according to their calendar ends and we begin the sixth. And there are no predictions for the sixth world as it is up to us to determine what this new world will look like. Thus, the slate is clean for us to enter a golden age or our demise. Where you live at this time is not really important, it is how you are living that is the key. Preparing for this transition is not about moving yourself physically, it is about transforming yourself spiritually. We can only discover our potentials both as individuals and as a people by working towards enlightenment of the spirit. But you may want to considering living as close to a spiritual community as possible. By working towards your development with others, it should be easier to reach your goals. And the energetic vibration is undoubtedly higher when working as a group than alone. Many communities have been created throughout the world by people who believe in the prophecies and are trying to prepare themselves. There are also certain areas in the world where the energetic vibration of the earth is at a higher level. Even if you do not realize this is what you are feeling, you naturally feel more centered and at peace in places like these. Examples of strong energetic centers include Nepal and the areas surrounding Cuzco in Peru. Where to live if the 2012 prophecies are true? In complete and total harmony, with everyone and everything in the universe is where you need to be. The most important lesson to be had from the 2012 prophecies is that developing spiritually is the key for moving into a more evolved existence in the sixth world. maya 2012 mayas 2012 mayas 2012 For more about this subject Click Here!maya 2012: maja 2012 This article, the best article ever, kindly provided by UberArticles.com | | 12:44 pm |
Maya 2012 Understanding Prophesy And The Mayan Calendar The Mayan societies disappeared from this planet centuries ago. Today few people have any knowledge or understanding of who the Mayans were or what they left behind. Mayans possessed an extreme knowledge of the solar system and the cycles that control it. As a result of this knowledge they created twenty two calendars. The calendars were used to mark time, of course, but were also created for another reason. Calendars created by the Mayans also documented prophesy and changes in our social structure. Many people are talking about prophesy and the Mayan calendar today. Let us take a look at why that is happening. The last day on the calendar created by the Mayans is December 21, 2012. This is striking fear in some people and many believe it marks the time of the end of the world. But some people believe it means something else. People who are not shuttering in fear understand the meaning of the prophesies and calendars in a different way. Because the Mayans had such a good understanding of the galaxy, there is another meaning that can be interpreted. One Mayan prophesy explained that the end of the calendar means a time of great change and transition in the world as we know it. It is a time to move away from self-destruction and move toward a time of peace and harmony in the world. This is a process that was to begin in 1999 and last for 13 years, until the last day on the calendar. Mayan beliefs explained processes in the universe. These processes are said to be fixed, and the only thing that changes are the attitudes and behaviors of humans who live in these times. If attitudes and behaviors do not change, then it was predicted that a cataclysm could indeed take place during this time of transition. It is up to us in the human race to embrace the changes we need to make in order to avert total disaster. This alternative interpretation explains 2012 are a time to move forward in a good way, and not the end of the world scenario that others believe. It is possible for it to be the beginning of a period of peace and productivity and the creation of new societies. It could be a time when everyone in the human race can benefit. The prophesies left behind by the Mayans are certainly worth examining. The accuracy is hard to dispute by most people who decide to study them. The first prediction made in the prophesies dealt with the human race destroying the environment. It came at a time on the calendar when the affects or global warming were beginning to be understood. Mayan knowledge was mysterious and beyond even their own time in history. The Mayans also predicted the start of a period of change around 1999. Starting in that year the human race was called upon to take a close look at what we believe and how we behave. Relationships were meant to evolve and change and we were to release our fears. Beliefs in prophesy and the Mayan calendar vary from one extreme to another. You will have to decide for yourself what your own belief is. But one thing is certain, Mayan culture is just as relevant today as it was when that passed along their knowledge centuries ago. maya 2012 jaar 2012 jaar 2012 Want to find out more about 2012 Click Here!maya 2012: 2012 This article, the best article ever, kindly provided by UberArticles.com | | 12:44 pm |
Maya 2012 Is "2012 Doomsday Or A New Beginning" For The Human Race The world is in a state of chaos right now. People have lost their jobs, friends, and even their lives. This continues to go on as depressions and wars begin to become a daily part of society. People are wondering where the human race is heading. We could be heading towards our demise or to our sanity. We fight and kill but we want it all to stop. We won't though, for it is human nature. Are we heading towards doomsday at a rampant speed? Many have begun to hold onto the belief that the world is going to end on the year 2012. Is "2012 doomsday or a new beginning" for the world? Are we going to all die or will we drop our old beliefs and embrace one another and live out our lives as a race for an eternity? Is the dawn of man coming to it's dusk? What is going to happen to us when the new year comes around? Are we doomed to non-existence? Where do the beliefs of what is going to happen differ? The 2012 debate is not a young one at all. People have been speculating what is going to happen since the bronze age. The Maya were the ones to originally come up with a belief of what is going to happen. Not too long after did Nostradamus come up with a similar theory. These people got their assumptions from a variety of things including the stars and from using forms of divination. Do these really hold any water, you ask? Not particular would be your answer. The main belief is that we are all going to die. We are all going to turn it dust or vanish into thin air. We are going to launch all of our nuclear warheads and cause the annihilation of our species. The belief is that we are doomed. There will be no life left to speak of and it is unavoidable on this year. There is another belief that human beings will begins to think a different way on this year. They will drop their old beliefs and embrace a new line of thought and thus the world as we know it will die. Although the world dies, we will live on the be stronger and better than we ever were. The Mayan calendar does end but it begins a new cycle right after! Another belief that holds a lot of water is that nothing will happen. Maybe all of these people have been blowing smoke to scare everyone. It is a great way to get movies and books produced. If people are worried they will want to know more. So, this could just be a ploy for people's greed. Yes, 2012 has caused a lot of hype. Movies have been produced and hundreds of books have been made. All of them revolve around 2012. It is amazing to try and sift through the large array of texts and try and find anything with any factual information. Simply because there hardly is any. Here is very little evidence that anything will happen on 2012 that will end the human race. There is an actual scientific fact proof a few things possibly happening though. One of these things include a large solar flare that could knock out all of the Earth's satellites that will occur on that year. The Maya believed that a meteor would strike the Earth and they spent their whole life as a civilization looking at the stars. Nothing is ever certain though. That is most of what it is all about. So is 2012 doomsday or a new beginning? We don't know for certain. We will when the year comes around though. maya 2012 maja 2012 maja 2012 Learn more about 2012 Click Here!maya 2012: jaar 2012 This article, the best article ever, kindly provided by UberArticles.com |
